Besides for its natural and historical beauties, Cortona is known for having been a favorite stop for St. Francis along the way to Assisi. In the company of a guide, you will visit one of the most beautiful hermitages in Tuscany, the “Eremo delle Celle” (hermitage). After an in-depth visit to this magical and spiritual place with a quick packed lunch, you will drive up to the basilica erected in honor of Santa Margherita, the last patron Saint of the city.
Going down the road, embellished by the Via Crucis by Gino Severini, you will arrive at the Poggio area, where you will visit two other places full of mysticism: the Church of San Niccolò, rich in works of art of the highest level (an example above all "the Signorelli ”) and Santa Chiara, still part of the convent for women.
