Hotel Villa Santa Caterina

Hotel Villa Santa Margherita takes its name from the Patron Saint of the city of Cortona, today a hotel is a structure that has evolved over time. It was born as an institute of the G.I.L.L. in 1930 hosting children of workers abroad, which later became a convent of the congregation of the Daughters of Maria Riparatrice and hosted up to 350 girls in boarding schools.

It is a place for those who want to take a break, stay away from the chaos of the world, offering guests well-kept and spacious rooms, set up with care and simplicity, in pure Tuscan style.

The structure has 22 rooms, 62 beds, single, double, triple, quadruple and also for people with motor disabilities.

There are many convivial spaces, made especially for sharing beautiful and exciting experiences in a group or alone, such as meditation, reading, listening or making good music.

All rooms have a private bathroom and are equipped with hairdryer, Wi-Fi, heating, TV, telephones, courtesy sets and spacious showers; some rooms have air conditioning and the rest have fans. The rooms are furnished in a typically Tuscan style, are large, bright and comfortable.

From each one you can enjoy a fascinating view. Some overlook the Valdichiana, from others you can see the peaceful internal garden. Two bedrooms have access to a terrace, the ideal place to start a new day outdoors.

In the breakfast room Villa Santa Margherita offers a delicious breakfast, with a wide choice, both sweet and savory, and many sweets of our production.

The hotel has an elevator that makes even the stay on the upper floors comfortable and especially for people with motor disabilities.

Small pets are allowed in the structure, there is a cost for the special cleaning of the room.

A beautiful circular conference room ideal for meetings and conferences up to 80 people, a large relaxation room with bar and access to the large terrace where you can sit for an aperitif and enjoy the wonderful Cortona evenings in front of a splendid view of Cortona, the Valdichiana and in the background, the Trasimeno Lake.

The garden gives a great welcome to guests who want to relax outdoors during the sunny summer days.

Parking

We are located in the outer belt of the historic center and, in addition to being surrounded by many public parking lots and in front of the bus stop that goes up to Cortona, the structure has a private parking area with about 15 spaces.
